Not necessarily, if you believe in direction and have a deep stoploss. As some member here said, "Options almost always give you a chance to exit" (I think it was Vssoma).
instead . why we should not fix.. like.. when position goes in red reduce the quantity and when it goes in green increase the quantity ..?

That too, is an approach. As I said, if you believe in the direction, then the "reversals" in price may simply be spikes. If one can afford if, like, the first buy being 10% of the quantity, then adds at S1, S2 etc. The same with exits when in profit.

This is the reason I guess ST da always says that book half at 30 points and hold rest with TSL at successive pivots. When done like this, trading becomes a business than a fancy emotions. These days U turns & V shaped recoveries and so often, so thais a very good proposal for booking profits. :)

Delicate balance between booking profits too early & too late to loose it all.....:thumb:

Book profits periodically. Though I am bullish but I have taken part profit at 6200 . With that profit already booked, it gives comfort to hold the balance.
In trading we have to achieve a delicate balance between booking profits too early and not booking at all and loosing all the profits.
