Unaka package, package, apana package bus stimulus

Take example of 70,000 cr MIG 2 housing under PM aavas. It assumes that 2.5 lakh families will buy houses under the scheme in next 9 months costing 28 lakh rs each. Whereas in past only 1.1 lakh did so each year in last three year. Govt outgoing for the home loan subsidy is anyway capped at 500 Cr (already budgeted). So net new package for sector is Zero (gross 500 cr) but advertised as 70,000 cr !!!

If you look at Indian package its 1 trillion rs and not 21 trillion. Rest is already budgeted in feb or are just liquidity measures.

US ones talks about direct transfer of cash, 1 trillion to states, essential worker hazard pay etc
The announcement was 20 Lakh Crores if I'm not mistaken .. ( 1 lakh Crore = 1 trillion)
how does it get reduced .. you mean it was part of the Union Budget announced earlier ?

out of 21lakh, not more than 1 lakh cr is new money being spent. Rest is loan which banks will be providing if businesses needs it. Or is already part of budgeted spending.

Another example of package is adding income tax refund to the amount! How’s that stimulus? Another , repayment of all dues to MSMEs in 45 days... it’s their due, how’s that stimulus?

I think FM has given a strong base for self-reliant India.. would help country survive the crisis and keep growth i think. Private participation in PSUs and allowing Indian companies to be listed in foreign markets are huge uplift for market... private participation would result in expansions and more job creation. Metals and minerals, and banking sector they'd seek i think would benefit.. defence sector, coal related companies also would have huge benefits i think..

Allowing ISRO assets to be used by Indian companies would benefit companies like reliance jio and other tech companies wanting to expand their business in space frontier also... this is a huge boost to economy for future i think.. allocating more cash to MGNREGA would help migrant workers and other common people to sustain their life, i think it would start as soon as lockdown is relaxed in eligible areas.. a large scale direct cash would negatively affect economic security of the country i think. There were already cash transfers to help the needy imo...

Increasing borrowing limits was already requested by many states, so i think that's also a positive point.. altogether my feeling is positive for market and economy in this time.
