Customer care wise, all three (that I have used) - Zerodha, VNS, RKSV - are excellent. I am using VNS mainly these days because it is the cheapest and I don't need the ZT platform. (not trading commodities). NOW works fine for me, and sharekhan's TT for charts.
Hi timepass,
Are VNS and TradeSmart same?? Or they are different brokerage firms??

hai,
For zerodha trader terminal with good settings is a must becoz they charge call trade...if they are competing with others they should develop a good online terminal with out crashing problems (its not NSE NOW) i am talking about ZT am not used it but by seeing through threads i can see a lot of crashing, charting pbm if am not correct pls clarify doubts ...and for Sharekhan,IIFL,Geojithetc having very good terminal for trade and pls give an advice for TA software other than amibroker...Expecting +ve advice

Yes, they are the same.
Hi TP,

Can u pls tell the brokerage structure in VNS. Also about their other charges in derivatives.

They entered a bit late in the discount broking market, but were smart enough to keep their prices just below the others. If you are trading a single lot in one trade, then the 7 paisa scheme is great. If trading multiple lots, then their Rs. 15 per order is cheaper than RKSV or Zerodha. Then their monthly unlimited plan too is cheaper than RKSV. The transaction charges are Rs. 230 per crore. Very competitive all the way.

Also, their phone support is very good. They don't hold you on phone for long if something is taking time, they call you back :). and then there is the teamviewer support as needed. They spent about 1 hour with me on teamviewer to install NestPlus 2.5.

Nonetheless, I am tempted by the offer of Achiievers Equities.

My account size is big and m satisfied with Zerodha.........
