futures

Yes IB = Interactive brokers. Please not I am trying this on Demo account, so cann't confirm if this is the case in real trade.
Thanks for the info very useful.
Usually - IB, RJO Brien, Infinity futures (brokers with demo account in US) mimic the actual market pretty close in their demo account...you might wanna ask IB about slippages right away...generally, demo account would not have any slippage and the live would..you are stating otherwise..at the end of the day, it's our money...nobody but us would be genuinely interested to protect it...

Re: Question on trading options

ST I think you have IB account, What is the slippage you see for futures ?

Smart_Trade,

Slippage also depends on the size of the trade and the liquidity right?..if the size is relatively small compared to market liquidity, the trade usually won't have a slippage..Nifty option chain (esp the OTM side of it) seems to be the most liquid in Indian market...

I am still eagerly waiting for the day where

1. we have volume/liquidity even in ITM calls/puts for the current month...good for spreads and delta(value for money)

2. Good liquidity in 2-3 months out calls/puts for time spreads

3. LEAPS - i guess i should be dreaming here :)
