1. For trading 10 lot sbin liquidity is not a big concern, bcoz Sbin future most often traded in much higher volume than sbin cash. Here Slippage points due to volatility is the main concern . :)
2. IF u r looking for only 3 to 4 point profit in sbin, u are obviously not an overnight trader. So why you need for Stock Future? If u get some extra margin or trading time extension (after 3:10 pm)? Only then think of future.
In that case u must get used to premium/discount adjustment in future with cash.
3. For trading in Nifty Futures 10 lot [500 unit], the slippage due to liquidity is almost NIL (except very few volatile times). :thumb:

Best Wishes.

thnx for the reply!!
so rcom, rinfra and other midcap stocks are not suitable for intraday? bcause their volume is very less as compared to sbin futures. sometime I carry forward my positions if I am in profit > 2% so I am planning to shift to futures where I can carry forward short position. due to slippage points is it not good to do intraday trading in midcap stocks? bcuase from your comment its now clear that 10 lots are not possible for intraday trading in midcap stocks. I do 15-20 trades per month per scrip not more than that .... :( I guess slippage pts will be more if quantity is > 10 lots... slippage points I mean the price difference between actual price we enter and average price we got. pls advise

thnx for your suggestion.
but why to start with index future. I am already trading in nse stocks (cash)....

Have you faced any trouble during trade execution, what are general slippage points as you are trading in sbin more than 10 lots, means over 1250 shares. so what is the difference between your actual order and executed order. my problem is if there is difference of more than 2 points (my actual order lets say @ 2000 and bcause of huge quantity order average price comes out to be @ 2003 then I already lost 3 point so then there is no point in trading with that quantity because I look for small profits.... hence this query. I dont have guts to do it practically so need help from experienced traders.
thnx for the reply
Man, if you don't have guts to do, then stick to trading shares in cash till you become real confident. I do not know how but somehow the Market always finds out the afraid trader trying to be a hero - and takes his guts out in notime, believe me! :D

@ST bhai
I just saw Vikas' charts and your patient explanations. It reminded me of those days when I myself used to f***-up your sunday mornings with charts showing bullish and bearish flags. And you would always be prompt and patient in your replies like in the present. I again thank you for those times. God bless you for being so helpful.

I am still here at the same place, ST bhai. Actually, I was out of markets because of some other personal pressing matters that were diverting my attention. And you know, trading is a job on which if you don't pay full attention, market punishes immediately - no matter how good or experienced trader one might be. But now I am back to trading, not full time yet but slowly getting there.

Kid, what happen with you? Your question was already in one or the other way answered here and you keep posting it again and again in one or the other way.

Stop it now as it really gets bored to meet that post again and again, starting with it in the introduction section and then bringing it up here in different ways since post 8052.

Thank you for your cooperation and good learning in the forum.
