Difficult? Yes ! Profitable? Maybe.

IT varies frm person 2 person.
consider 2 persons enconter an accident n both of dem hav der leg fractured...d threshold of pain bearing capacity wil totally b diferent even if d incident is similar.
so der is no standard percentage terms universal profit target fr a trade thou 2 persons wid a same position may have d same stoploss:)
Maybe I could not explain what I wished to ask.
In todays trade if Long is taken in Coal India at 291, what should be my minimum, reasonable target where I exit or move up my SL ! This being a Positional trade, a gap move against is always the risk, so maybe exit partly at T1 ! What should be Target1?
Though I am sure one can carry the trade with original SL and exit only on reversal. I am positive that the overall result end of a quarter would be positive.
But many may not be able to carry the trade for long as was in my case in 2007! So wanted views what can be termed as a reasonable target.

Maybe Link T1 with your initial SL? Say if SL is for 12 points then T1 is 18 (1.5 times) or 24 (two times)

What do you mean by "positional"?? What is your time frame ?? 1 month, 2 years ?? I suppose your stoploss would vary according to that, wouldn't it ?

Recording your trades in an excel in an orderly manner ?? I don't do positional so wouldn't be a good guide on that, but it does sound straightforward. If you can show how you are storing it presently, maybe the others can suggest improvements.

Now, here's one from my side.

बस इतना ही जानू.

BTW, Kabir ke dohe is my favorite trading time music, as I mentioned elsewhere in this forum. No disrespect intended to that saint.
