Hi disefx,

I went through your thread in detail and I must say I found it interesting and I wish you all success in your forex foray. Pardon me for asking you a question which comes to my mind and I can't resist asking you:having gone through your thread and the replies, Forex looks like a tough nut to crack, and if I may add, 90 % of the people lose, trading Forex. We may argue that this is also true if you trade equities, or the indices, but then my question is that why make things more difficult(which are already difficult anyway) by deciding to trade Forex? Why not just trade Indian equities or the indices?

Of course,we all have our own preferences and everybody sure likes to get a kick out of doing whatever one likes to do. Everybody likes fruits, but when it comes to me, I prefer eating a banana over a custard apple, because eating a custard apple is a messy job!

ATB,

hi Sunil Saranjame

Thanks for showing intrest in my thread. And you are absolutely right about the fact that 90 % fail in financial, markets may it be equities may it be forex.
The only answer to your question about why i chose forex , is because of personal preference. I see more potential in forex than equities:).

Hello dilsefx,

I had been regularly reading through this thread and feel it is helpful and useful. Could you elaborate a liitle more on your statement "I see more potential in forex than equities". I have not traded forex although very much interested. Could you also kindly answer to one of my needs regarding forex data.

As i mentioned earlier i would like to trade forex but before venturing into it i would like to see if my existing trading systems and methods i use for trading equities will give the same results in forex also. I use Amibroker. Some of the methods i use in equities are borrowed from various forex forums.

So coming to the point can you tell me where i can get forex intraday data for 3-6 months which i can use with Amibroker for study purposes before actual trading.Of course i am aware of various forex trading platforms including metatrader. But what i require is past intraday forex data for use with Amibroker.
