I am now using Fibo for which you had given me lot of support to installation.Now I have an problem in filter.I tried filter as per post of soumya but it is not working.please give me a solution to overcome it.

Dear Faith, (the believer)

take a look at the bse bhavcopy. I am going to tell u how to create data files manually. you can find the following columns Scrip code(we take it for Ticker in Ami), Scrip name, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume. Decide which stocks u need. ie A group, Z group etc. Sort quotes based on Group and delete the scrips that belong to unwanted group. Remove all unwanted columns. Now save the file as csv file. That is all. (Use excel to do the above tasks.) The BSE bhavcopy doesn't contains the index data. So it should be added manually to the indices.csv file. u can get the index data from the BSE site.

And do u really need BSE futures data ?.

If u used the "EOD Data Converter", then u know where to get indices data. For nse u can get bhavcopy of derivatives data from the derivatives section of nse. The pr.zip file includes all data on cash and F&O + debt markets.

As regards volume for indices, I think volume is not available for all indices in the bhavcopy. If not available, then use 0 as volume.

No joy I did not use any converter ,I did it manually as you have suggested .Do you have any converter?Do you know from where to get nse futures data ?

I wonder why u are not using "EOD Data Converter". See may earlier replies to u. After all I am the developer of that software. It generates all the nse data files as uploaded by Mr. Thushar. (NSE cash, F&O, and NSE indices). It is developed to automate the manual conversion of bhavcopies.
