Dear Soumya,
I am a newbie in this forum and very happy to be amongst you all. I have downloaded Ambi broker trial version and also been successful in importing historical data that you have given upto 25-10-06. In order to get up2date with the current data, do I have to download individual updates after the 25th or there is another source where I can get them from? Pardon me if this is a silly question but I have been looking around and cant get this information.

Hi Cancerix,

Monthly updates in a single compressed file for each month are available. The links to these files are posted by Soumya in this thread itself. You can download them and update your database. For current month you have to download daily updates from this thread and update.

in BSE_update.csv there are two entries for a single scrip like,

632480,ALLAHABAD BK,3/28/2007,78.05,78.05,75.05,75.05,26950
532480,ALLAHABAD BK,3/28/2007,74.55,75,73,73.2,67355

could some body clarify why there are two entries for many such groups. Please clarify...

Hi raamu,

The BSE scrips starting with 6 are those trades which are in FII category. The remaining five digits are same for both categories. This is what BSE says on the website:

For the scrips in FII Trades category, the scrip code will start with 6 instead of 5. E.g. FII Trades Scrip code for 500001 will be 600001.
