Hi Raj,

I asked for the Symbols page because the earlier file showed something else. In the earlier file on first page, in the analyis window snapshot the entry under Ticker (first column), it shows "<P...". Therefore, I asked for it. I have run the test and attached the full report except the graphs with this post. Compare each page with what you are getting. You may be able to identify the problem. The attached file includes the AFL code also. Compare the formula with what you have used. Check your NIFTY data also. Post your comments and observations.

Hi Raj,

I think I have figured out the mistake. See your attached file 'backtest.doc'. On the second page where you have a snapshot of 'back tester settings-general' look at the entry 'Min. shares'. You have entered it as 100. As the program is taking NIFTY values as price, you need at least 100 times the NIFTY value (which is not less than 3.5 lakhs) as initial equity. But your initial equity is only 20,000. So no trade can be initiated with this small amount. That is why there are no trades. Just change the Min shares to 1 and you should be able to get the results. Do this change and report your results.

Also i saw that there is no _SECTION_END() in the bottom of the program. I am not wellversed with ami programming but should'nt there be any section end?? pls help me here, why am i getting blank screen??

Thanks Mr.Anant,
It is now working well, and i have attached the report. The only differance is even though i have give the date range from 01-01-06 to 04-04-07, it is taking only the trades from 13-03-2006. Any how i have tested the system and getting 20% gain in my test.
Once again thanks for your guidance.
Congracts for ur work, keep on doing.

I am sorry .. the afl posted earlier was for backtesting the Mabiuts K1.
I am enclosing the afl for the chart with buy and sell condition. Regret the inconvenience caused.

warm regards

Karthik
