And to every one who blowing horn!

Hi ,

Just think of yourself guys ( just a question to all good traders ) do you all think you need MACD to trader far better than you did in your trading career and whats final conclusion here adding some std dev + bb + MACD is far better system than no one here on earth found before?? i am just amazed,
simple thing is sucessful trading community is not ruled so far by any great mathematicians and stasticians who are not better trader nor developed some consistently performing systems.

Sucessful trading is not just mixing something unusual and curvefitting which was done so far on this thread as per my view, a good and consistent system need far better but more simpler elements which the current case lacks, any way in trading and designing system wat u sow is wat u reap which comes along karma of trader and those who are following it :)

If all treat it as attack on this thread or its contribution i cant do any thing for such poor mind set and ignorance

Hi Amarnath

Nice to see around in this thread again. Attack or no attack not really bothered about it. Everyone is entitled his opinion..

By the way even earlier I had clarified the attempt in this thread is not to search or define a Holy Grail system. The attempt was to share some of the TA experience and experiments with others. A newbie has to start somewhere. The idea was to give a rope.
Today you may be a good trader but think about yourself when you started trading. Were you a born trader? No , you must have learnt it the hard way I am sure. Your earlier posts in some other forum requesting codes for simple indicators are ample testimony to this.
(Remember the Kairi Indicator)

If one is good one can make good money using the simple MACD Indicator. I am sure that this thread though not meeting your expectation has gone a long way in providing the ropes to lot of newbie traders in approaching and learning technical analysis. An offshoot of this thread was a collaborative effort from people from different places in a system implementation exercise which could be a First among forums.

It would be really good to see you really sharing with us what you know in a more elaborate manners to clear the clouds of ignorance from our poor minds..

Waiting.

Warm regards

karthik

karthik , just saw your work on MACD ...... you have done a great job . Infact as part-time work i do some writing stuff for financial magazines and investment banks and i know it takes a great deal of time , energy and devotion. If you are interested in writing please PM me i will endorse your name to the sourcing houses.
As regards response is concerned , please continue doing the great service you are doing to the forum . Infact when iam writing i always used to research and put in a great deal of effort which in many ways have helped me in being a better trader and i think more than the reader it is the writer who benefits ( pl dont misunderstand me i am writing this message from my perspective and i know perspectives differ) .
Hope this message evokes a positive reponse from you and eventually help me and many others in traderji embark on a process of endless learning..
Rajaram

Thanks for the encouraging words. I fully agree with you that writer benfits more the reader. When I was running a thread called "Doubt releif" i used to research on so many companies in order to answer the queries and it helped me lot. Even the post on MACd helped me a lot.

Ofcourse there are many more value additions like the time when a research student from europe mailed me to show his appreciation on the MACD article and clear some doubts.

About writing for magazines I am afraid my job is keeping me too preoccupied to do it. Thanks for the offer.

By the way please post reference to your writings. it would be a pleasure read them.

warm regards

Karthik

Hi Rajaram

After a long time I really enjoyed reading your article(attached file) on Open Interest. I was searching for this information and had put a query also, but that seemed to go unnoticed. Your writeup has clarified a lot of things to me.

thanks for your reputation comments.......actually after writing this article every day i started looking for cues from the f and o data which has really helped me build or cut my cash market positions . Also RPL was one stock where the technicals were not that bad before the fall but OI data was the one that alerted me to exit my positions

This post reminds me of the story of the king who imagined that he is wearing the best clothes in the world, but in reality was walking naked on the streets.

Its amazing how loosers keep shouting to draw attention...
