To FiboTrader,

I want to run a custom script thru QuoteMan every 10 seconds.
To do that, I set a time of 10 seconds in QuoteMan >> Data >> Update Automatically, but it gets reset back to 60 seconds as soon as I open the Auto Update screen again.

So, what's the way to run a script every 10 seconds thru QuoteMan?
Please advice.

This is actually a feature to prevent Internet Connections Overload. With the next Beta this will be different. Only if Internet Delayed is selected then the minimum interval will be 60 seconds, otherwise any is possible.

I have installed fibotrader in Windows vista. As I had problem/wrong selection for data feed, I have reinstalled. Now I get msg during reinstallation, that only ASCII import will be allowed. But When I click on quoteman trayicon nothing happens. Further in Data Sources menu, last line says ASCII import not activated. What should I do to get ASCII import and quoteman work?

First of all, make sure you have the latest beta installed on vista (needs to be
installed manually, follow steps in the Downloads section). It contains many many adjustments for Vista. Then, please contact [email protected] to get a new trial key.

i just tried to create trendlines from single spot, but first trendline dosent allow it(it highlights), so i cant draw 2 trendline from a point(after reducing width of trendline also)

Please press the SHIFT key. This will ignore the highlighted drawing.

Thanks for the clarification.
Currently, I tried your Beta version as well. But I couldn't set interval to 15 seconds for script execution (I did NOT select Internet Delayed in data Sources). So, when will be the next Beta available, which will support this feature?

Some more questions...
1) How do I run "Market Scan" automatically after every n-seconds?
2) Which filters do you suggest to capture Buy/Sell signal for INTRADAY trading, based on 0.5-3 hours of realtime intraday data?

May be I am disturbing you, but can any one tell me the way to create watchlists in FiboTrader. I read that there is a facility of the same, but I am not aware of it.

What I want is that I should be able to get stocks that full full certain criteria, like 3-13 cross over or new 52 weak high / Low , MACD crossover etc. All stocks meeting conditions can be singled out.

I would be really greatful to you if any of you knowledgeable member can give me some insights into this.

Dear neilabcd , when you give show command to Quoteman from the Toolbar , it opens in the 'System Tray',you can right click and after pressing 'Show' the Quoteman window opens.I hope this helps you

I have imported from ASCII files data and selected data source as importing individual ASCII files. Still I get the msg saying I am trying to open a SYMBOL which is connected to source not currently activated(internet (delayed free)). But I have done the import from an ASCII folder. However if I click OK, I get the chart. What mistake I might have committed to get this msg and how to correct it? I have attached a file containing that hint.

hi soumya..i have installed fibotrader.
but i am unable to use it.
i meet all the system requirement and have a latest system.
i have 2 problems.
1. as soon as i replace the main file , and restart fibotrader, it just shows me the tool bar and not the other windows. how do i open the other windows?


2.i can see quoteman in the status bar, but when i right click and say show, it doesnt come up.
i have tried 100 times.
with out the quote man its impossible to do the settings.
i have been trying again and again.plz help.
u have been using it for quiet some time now, so i am sure u have a solution.plz..plz..plz help

For Quoteman problem ... after installing before doing anything just update it thru preference ---> update to beta version it may solve your quotaman problem

Watchlists can easily be created using the Watchlists module which you find the the explorer (left side of the chart window). What you are describing sounds more like a market scan, which is just a normal list containing special columns for your chart templates and indicators.

The Fibotrader offers an extremly powerful and versatile list module. You could put all the stocks to watch in one folder, then right click on it and select list. There you can add new columns by right clicking on any column. You will probably need several "Chart template..." columns.
