For those using amibroker or metastock
just checking the price
if i want to do professional trading/investing will it be rght for me to go amibroker professional or i go amibroker standard
one more thing the quote fee is $65 yearly once in a year
amibroker cost $179 and pro $279
whereas
metastock costs end of day 25000 rs which is for investors and the quote costs 6500 per year and for realtime tick by tick data they charge 75000rs for the software and data 45000 per year
so my question is is amibroker a gud buy as far as price is concerned and i think, the features almost same both are powerful software ,even if i dont do intraday still i can see tick by tick at a cheaper price
am i rght??

me too dont have either of the two softwares i checked their tutorial videos in some o sites and found out and that these are the one of the prime arsenal of an analyst any way let me know which ami ure opting for 279$ or 179$ and the xtra 65$/year for amiquote is it the total expense if yes then from where are u buying this softwrae is it directly from their site through credits or there are some dealers like viratech softwares as in the case of meta stock

sashsaha0..friend...i dont have much idea about those..metastock and amibroker..i do intraday trading ..i do have tradetiger and race pro installed ...as per live streaming..in these softwared also ..one gets live streamimg..i do intraday trading based on pivot points suppports and resistance..fibonnacci retracementsRs ..bollinger bands..of course i also..look for MACD to grnerate buy and sell signals..along with MACD i also use RSI signals...Softwares like amibroker and metastock i think generate auto buy and sell signals..and they have stock filters too..friend i have least idea about these softwares..i have added u on gmail..my ym is interval1959,,u can add me on ym....i think we can discuss further..regarding these softwares..and solve the problem regarding...fibotrader...thanx..Bijoy Bhilai

Yes, there is a way to import bulk datas into Fibo.Right now i dont remember , but U cod try as:--- You follow the same procedure as for importing a single file,but requires some change when the file name appears on the Quoteman downloading window, say ...../..../Nse/cm25JUN2009bhav.csv, here u doing it with only single file, now u want to import all the file in ..../Nse folder ( just for explanation perpose i m assuming u store file in Nse folder).
Now the trick is just remove file name replace with *. It would look like ...../..../Nse/*.csv , in this way it will import all the files having .csv extension.
I hope u must ne understanding it , As i m in office i cant confirm it i think i ll work, after going home ll confirm it.
If any prob let me ask.

Hi Bijoy,
If U want to compare Ami with Meta, then go with Amibroker , it is very easy to work with ,simple and very efficient i mean very very fast AND the biggest thing it is supported by lots of forums and lots of threads here too.
It req very small space in PC Hard drive and can run smoothly with only RAM 256 MB.

aaplana...hiiii friend..thanx a lot for ur quick reply...i m trying my best to import the datas in to fibo...in the way u have suggested..if i face problem..i willl let u know..yes friend..i will be looking for ami...just preocupied with my job i m getting little time.but slow and steadily with the help of friends like u and others.i think i think with n some days i will be understanding the typical formulas of amibroker after its instalations..thnax a lot..aaplana..one more thing..should i go for amibroker standard or professional........here i want to mention that i do a lot of intraday trading when i get time..following basic rules of technicals...Bijoy..Bhilai
