to Fibotrader,

pls remove the bug asap.

HI
soumya you told it is a BUG . Is there any problem with the software i have downloaded . you also gave a filter condtion . I did the same on NSE folder still geting scrips which do not satishfy filter condition

Is it adding extra scrips to the filtered scrip list or some scrips deleted which satishfy the filter condition

plz help what should i do to avoid this type of problem

waiting your reply

Filter Condition:
1. The Close shall be always less then 20 in the last 5 days (including today).
2. The Close shall be always greater then 10 in the last 5 days (including today).

searching folder : NSE
We can confirm this now. If there is data missing than this did not work correctly. From the next update on scheduled for tomorrow this will be corrected. Thank you for the input.

Hi Robert,

1st Attachment: Period-High/Low in the List returns erroneous result.
2nd Attachment: Some small request...
waiting for your reply.

1st: will be fixed
2nd:

1. change compared to what? you can turn on the left scale in the chart and set it to percent, this will give you the change since begin of current window

2. good idea, scheduled on todo

3. no, too confusing for most of our clients

4. yes, with next update, the title bar string accepts parameters with comma. For HighLow it's a little long since you need to supply 4 parameters in internal format, which would be <HighLow,1@!@1@!@0@!@52>

5. is now on todo list

Re: Fibotrader : How to Adjust Split in Fibotrader

Let, take Cipla as a example. On 24th April 06 it was splitted in the ratio of three equity shares for every existing two equity shares i.e. 2:3 (Cipla issued bonous shares).

1. Open QuoteMan -> Tools -> Secutities administration -> Symbol management -> Select symbol...
2. In the Search phrase write Cipla -> Start search -> double click on Cipla in search results.
3. Additional -> Splits.... -> New entry... ->Date : 4/21/2006
Factor : 0.4 -> ok.
4. Select 4/21/2006 - 0.4 (not executed yet) -> Execute split -> close.
5. Now the stock is split adjusted.

There is another direct way to split stock through :
Quote management -> Detect split -> Current symbol.
This process will only work when the stock is splitted in
a simple ratio i.e. 1:1, 1:2,1:5,..... But it will not work when
the splitting ratio is different, take cipla as a case.

How to find Factor in the case of bonous: suppose a company issued bonous in the ratio of x:y i.e. y numbers equity shares for every existing x numbers equity shares.
Now, Factor = x/x+y

Happy Trading,
Soumya
Hi!

I recently had a problem with adjusting splits & bonuses and because of that, spent a lot of time in restoring my data to the proper state.

I was also in touch with Robert at Fibotrader Support & he gave me a few suggestions that I would like to share with you. I would also like share my suggestions, which you may take or throw out of the window ;)

1) My 1st suggestion would be not to run the automatic split search in Fibotrader & execute the same. The reason being, as Soumya mentioned above, there are certain stocks that Fibotrader does not calculate the splits correctly.

What you can do is:
a) From the NSE website (Corporate Action), get the data where the companies have announced stock splits & bonuses

b) Look for the splits & bonuses that are not common (Cipla as an example)

c) After manually adjusting the splits bonuses for the non common ones, then, run the scan in Fibotrader

2) If on the same date, there is a company that has announced a split in the ratio of 10:5 & a bonus of 1:2, the factor for the split would be 0.5 & the factor for the bonus be 0.66

Instead of creating 2 entries, what you can do is multiply the ratios, 0.5*0.66 = 0.33. So, you create just 1 entry with 0.33

3) When one adjusts for splits & bonuses manually, one can see the option to undo the split. If you create a wrong split by mistake, you can undo it.

When Fibotrader executes a split automatically, you cannot see the option to undo it. To undo the split, one needs to enter the reverse split (e.g. 2 instead of 0.5). Internally no split entry is created.

*** Points 2 & 3 have been suggested by Robert.

Hope this helps you in the future ...

Thanks & regards,
Amit

Hi soumya and Fibotrader,

i update the fibo software as said by fibotrader by going preference and then update . then i run the filter with same condition
i.e
1-close shall be less than 20 in last 5 days

within NSE folder

i got 61 results and checked that every scrip and found they satishfy the filter condition

plz confirm is there 61 scrips within 10- 20 range

many many thanks to Fibotrader and soumya for their selfless work
