Well, the program is available at site, but the source code has been lost... I hope to incorporate that function in this new program as well...

Thanks for the update.

NSE is notorious for the way it changes the data format / the way users & programs approach it for fetching data, obviously to discourage programs downloading data.

During every such change, the program fails and users / programmers are put to inconvenience.

To overcome the limitation, the proposed downloader may have an off-line mode also, in which, user will manually download the files and the program 'converts' the data and outputs it.

This off-line mode will work as a back-up mode till the developer makes changes matching with the changes at NSE.

a suggestion ...

Believe, NSE changes the symbol name and hence this problem.

The downloader program could check the configuration file with NSE site every time it downloads and if there are any discrepancy, then the new symbols (mismatching ones) can be added to the config file (code needs to be written in the downloader program) and from next time onwards there won't be an error.

Hi friends,
Currently i have completed the first part of the program.
In this, the program downloads realtime 1 min data for current day... But it does that for singlle selected stock code of n numbers of stock codes in a listbox. When you change the selected stock code, it again downloads/backfills for the new stock from the day start. It updates the amibroker with that data...
Now going on leave, will upload this partially complete program by 20th feb.

thanks for the information and new concept of yours

plz try to make a EOD downloader just like hemens getbhavcopy it should support that format and give preference for eod data downloader and not
intraday because for you developers you forget the importance of eod downloader hemens is the no1 downloaded programme and none of the downloder can beat hemens eod helps for swing trading and feeding charting
programmes volumedigger joy's downloder is also good but it doest support fully hemens format he has developed mcx eod downloader which nobody has developed cheers for him

Dear Sir,

Now your program only fetches EQ Series. Please incorporate BE Series also. you can also think about including DR Series ( Depository Reciept). Though only one share now ( STAN ) , It may increase in future..

check out yahoo finance dot com, you can get data for both nifty and sensex, in excel.
