It updates every second but builds candles of not less than 60 seconds.

Yes, i use say 3 min candles.
Do you mean, it should update the latest candle every second

For me, the latest (not yet complete) candle gets updated only after a minute which keeps me in the dark. Maybe i need to change some setting ?

I tested it on XP in VM + ZT
Tommorrow ill try in on Win 7 direct.

Well..in that case let me tell you the procedure(s) I opted..

====================================================== Attempt 1 ======================================================

1. placed the RTG3.format and Nest3.format in amibroker/formats folder

2. Placed the RTTiger.xlsm and RTGoogle.xlsm in C:\Program Files\Omnesys (as this path is already added in "Trusted Locations" within excel...NowBackfil.xlsm and RTNest.xlsm is already residing there bcoz I tried them few days back and they run successfully!)

3. Didnt do any tinkering (like adding new symbols) in either RTTiger.xlsm and RTGoogle.xlsm.

4. Created the ami database at C:\AmiBroker\RTdata with the cofiguration and setting as mentioned by you in the instruction document(and updated RTTiger.xlsm and RTGoogle.xlsm with this database path)

5. After 9:15 AM, opened RTTiger.xlsm..and it gave a pop up msg, as shown in the screenshot attached (I don't have Trade Tiger installed..does it needs to be present in my PC..the data source was supposed to be google na?)

6. Clicked in the "Continue" button.

7. Then opened the RTGoogle.xlsm (in a new instance..i.e, start->excel2007->open file-> RTGoogle.xlsm)

8. Clicked "start RT data" in RTTiger.xlsm...amibroker opened by itself ( and the same list of stocks appeared in amibroker as it is in RTTiger.xlsm).

9. Clicked "start RT data" in RTGoogle.xlsm..and it started updating its quotes.

10. No effect in RTTiger.xlsm as well as amibroker

6. This time I clicked "Edit Links" button and linked the RTG sheet from the RTGoogle.xlsm. This time the RTTiger.xlsm started updating its cells..but columns were mismatched..i.e, data from "Last Traded Price" column of RTGoogle.xlsm were fetched to "Trading Symbol" column in RTTiger.xlsm..etc.etc.
7. Same as above.
8. Same as above.
9. Same as above.
10.Same as above.



Please guide me on what I am doing wrong.

Starzz,

If you want Google data, shut down everything. Run only RTGoogle. RTTiger is for fetching data from Trade Tiger. You forgot to read basic setup.

Please look at the screenshot about how RTGoogle.xlsm looks like in my PC..

After I hit start RT data, amibroker opens..but ami isn't updating for any symbol

It updates every second but builds candles of not less than 60 seconds.

I tested it more, it seems that the intraday tool in FCharts is reading the excel once every minute (Poll every 'n' seconds = 5 )

The candles therefore also have incorrect highs and lows and are updated once every minute.
If i, say, add 1 more row to excel, the Fcharts Live Data tool does not change to "2 prices added" immediately

Excel seems good. I just use the RTD cells without any button etc
I have the latest FCHarts 1.5.97M.

Could this be a bug in FCharts?

Edit :
I removed RTD data and used hardcoded values using 6100 as Nifty price Then i set it to 6300 for more than the polling frequency and reverted it back to 6100 before a minute.

Fcharts did not pick up 6300. Is it possible for you to test this ?
I will then post a question in FCharts forum.

Sir ji please ignore my earlier post. Everything is working fine after I changed the RTG3.format (change Date_DMY to Date_MDY in $Format line)

Cannot say. It's been long time since I used FCharts. You will have to do the R&D yourself.

Its written in the instruction booklet that for RTgoogle.xlsm..

"3. There is no limit to the number of scrips that can be monitored."

But I cannot get more than 62..pls see screenshot..

Create some other folder and give its path against RAM Disk path. See if a .txt file is created there. Check its contents.

I created a folder in different drive gave it against RAM disk , mycsv file is created there but no quotes are coming over there . Multiple times I deleted the RT folder in C , then start RT , the mycsvnow.csv get created amibroker get one sysbol ICICI ( I have four in the excel ) .


To plot any chart at least 3 data bar are needed , but there are only one bars
