Very sorry to disturb you sir, I am using your utility from past 1 year I use RTNEST working very good , now I want to shift my account to sharekhan , I have followed your instruction to setup Trade Tiger , but Sir the price in RTTIGER not refreshing I have tried every thing,
1.> Trade tiger save the excel file snap.xls not snap.xlsm
2.> after entering = value in rttriger, value of snap.xls not reflecting, link should enter manually , I have entered =[Snap.xls]Streaming_Stock_Watch!B9, after saving the file it changes to ='C:\Sharekhan\TradeTigerNew\SnapToExcel\[Snap.xls]Streaming_Stock_Watch'!B9, but rate is not refreshing in RTTIGER, Any problem with excel link??? , I don't know, Please help

Dear shahss71, How many scrips can you add in a single marketwatch in Sharekhan's Tradetiger?

Again same problem, nothing is helping me today.Please help me.

Try both ways. Same instance or separate instance.
Close RTOdin and open again

Enter =[Snap.xls] and you should get a pop-up window to locate it. Browse to the file and give correct cell no. That should work. You are probably using Win 7 or above.

I use NOW in conjunction with Josh sir's utility. I maintain a database of 100 scrips.

I feel that no one can maintain a database alone ((1)as the number of scrips that can be monitored is limited and (2) There are some issues when backfilling is concerned) and we should work as a team.

I wish others would contribute their database too(preferably with a different scrip list).

I will upload my database every weekend.However,if nobody is interested in participation then I will close this thread.

Yes my Nest trader is in C:/ as well as RTnest.xlsx . they are 32 bit both office and windows. running both RTnest and nest trader in simple privileged.

i think people should try rebooting, lol. i struggle half an hour for that. (had to enable micro in office bty).



another thing is while installing nest trader, don't install it in admin mode, because then you'll have to run excel in admin mode too.

Where these softwares are installed
msoffice, Amibroker.
What is ms office is it 2013 home and student edition or something else.
I have amibroker 6.9, office 2013 home and student edition, in windows 8.1 in my new tablet . All amibroker, office and windows are 32 bit. Hence wanted to know how and where did you install these. Could you run with out admin previleges.

I am using RTNEST since last one year , It was working fine ,but from last 2 days I am facing some problem with refresh , Suddenly when I start rtdata from rtnest.xlsm computer takes 5 to 10 second to update data to amibroker all though I have 3 second update in B3 refresh period field, between that I cannot access any fields in excel , I have changed nothing , I am using dataram seperated10 MB for read and write , I have reduced the scrips but excel goes in to loop for 5-10 seconds between updates , Joshji please help me because I am helpless without your utility

Strange....! RTNest works fine on my Laptop.
However, I found latency in refresh may happen due to -
1. Clogged internet bandwidth.. some other software may be downloading big files.
2. Virus
3. AFL with heavy calculations. - Did you load any new AFL having following line?
RequestTimedRefresh( 1 )
4. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and see how much CPU consumption is there. How much RAM is available.
5. Also Click Tools -- Performance Monitor in Amibroker and see refresh rate/CPU used.

I faced something similar. Downloaded fresh copy of RTNOW.zip and started with fresh copies of RTNest.xlsm (after making appropriate changes to db path etc). The problem went away. Try and see if it works the same way for you.

Hi, thanks for asking such question, which I think is mandatory for new users.

1. I have ami 5.6(x32) with office 2013 professional version(X32) in windows 8.1(X64). All in single drive, and they are working fine.

2. on simple clean installation I faced similar problem where user don't get any ticker in excel sheet. try these.

-Reboot your computer.
-Run both NEST / NOW and Excel into admin (use command prompt to run RTNOW/RTNEST into admin mode) then in non-admin mode.
-make sure you're opening RTnow for NOW and RTnest for NEST trader. (i made this mistake and it costs me hours)
-Reboot again which worked for me.

p.s I run both nest trader(zerodha) and RTNest in non-admin interface.
