My hearty thanks for Josh1 for creating a wonderful data import tool and sharing it with us all.

My gratitude and thanks to RAGHUVEER who is kind to solve my problem and help me to utilise josh1 tool.
Raghuveer meticulously follows all rules set by josh1.
The point is though it is not easy but they show that it is not impossible to do a nice task like this.


It is my pleasure to have such nice fellow members on this forum rather my fortune to be a member on traderji when they are here.


I thank traderji for creating such a nice forum.

while closing RTNEST excel file how to go about.
i just closed it after closing nesttrader.
it doesnt close even though stop data is on.
it takes a long time. gives some problem-somtimes need to end process.
while opening i open rtnest from excel via programmes not shortcut.
please comment.

You open in one order close in reverse order.

There was a bug in RTNOW.xlsm due to which feed to Amibroker was getting disrupted/delayed frequently. That is now corrected. NSENOW users should download new file. Else they may correct the code in subroutine makecsv() as below.
Find this line - If TimeValue(.Cells(R, 2).Value) > (TimeValue(Now())) Then
Change to this - If TimeValue(.Cells(R, 2).Value) > (TimeValue(Now()) + TimeValue("00:01:03")) Then

Nest Trader or ZT Users are not affected.

Just get a hand on a new laptop(second hand), installed windows 8.1 and other same softwares, RTNest was not working in first instance, have to run it in admin mode, restart run the programs in normal mode then they were working...!!

It will not update after 15:29 since there is no change in volume(No trading). Have you tried from 9:15 onwards? Start RTNest at 9:15 and let me know. It seems you are using older version. Use the latest.

I downloaded the new version.. struggled to set up for a day. Then scratched everything, just followed the set up instructions like a baby.. and VOILA !!

All updating everything fine. Thanks you very much for this great utility and quick responses !!! :thumb:

using RTNest.xlsm.
Putting RAM Disk Path=R: solves the problem.

All these days I had RAM Disk Path=R:\ without any problem. So I just continued the same way in the new version also which was the cause of the problem.

"Back" sheet is working without any problem. Nestbackfill.txt is being created in R:.

Yes I also used R:\ which worked in an earlier version.
With R:\ the HS backfill also failed for me. It would open another excel by itself and give a runtime error.
With R: everything looks great.
