Hi pratap,

2 years back I jumped into f & O trading but I could n't make my port folio into green rather from Green it became red. Now again planning trade f&o. This time I like to gain more knowledge. Share your experience and knowledge to interpret put call ration .
I don't use put call ratio

Zerodha's reply for the problems with PI/Nest Trader - Zerodha is always right only the problem is with NSE/Omnesys/Clients Broadband/System :D

Part of the reply

When volumes on the exchanges suddenly shoot up exponentially, the performance right from the exchange to everyone else drops. NSE for example has certain capacity, 50,000 orders per second. What happens if there are more than 50,000 hitting the exchange? Everyone associated suddenly sees a drop in performance.

About screen suddenly freezing and quotes suddenly appearing. Omnesys/TR which provides backend hasn't done a great job with their streaming solution. Basically it is called buffering in technical terms.

When the end user is not able to accept quotes, quotes get buffered on the server end, and then the freezing for a few seconds and sudden rush of quotes happen. These things can get bad when suddenly a lot more quotes have to be sent across on volatile days.

what can u do to ensure that you are constantly accepting quotes? Today one of those 16 mpbs lines costs only 2k per month. If the system is old, make sure to not run multiple trading platforms. Most desktop applications including Pi are quite resource hungry.
