Is it a good time to buy stocks for long term now as Nifty is way above 7700 and closing higher in last session as in starting of uptrend?
I am looking into major stocks like Infosys, Icici, Eicher, Motherson etc.

Keep a clear stop loss even on shares you buy, then it will not too much matter when you bought them. Also do first value and check the shares P/E you want to buy and the potential the company has instead going on the main index.

Yes....just 2 days back many were saying whether we will see 7950 in near future ...market gave that in just 1-2 days.

Agreed. That's beauty of market. Market is god, and as the bible says: lord giveth, and lord taketh away. Trick is when 'giveth' is going on, do the 'taketh' gratefully. When 'taketh' is on, DON'T 'giveth' away.
