Another situation I come across is being asked , mujhe bhi sikhao
I will sit with you and learn.

I dont want this because I dont want anyone I know to know how much money I have in my account how much I lose or profit. And since I am a beginner and make a lot of mistakes, it is also embarassing because people start to judge right away. Isse kuch nahi aata. the same thing again, bas gambling karte baitha hai.

To avoid this, I just disagree when they ask. This makes them angry.
I tried saying that i am not an expert or something yet, but they say you're lying.
How to deal with this situation in a smart way ?
Just tell them in day trading one requires 100% concentration and their is disturbance when someone is sitting right next.Teaching someone in live market is nuisance if u r day trading for living

share them the resources and ask them to read about basic charting techniques from books /net first then take lessons on weekends ,using Bar replays.

most people will choke or refuse when told to read something as people want ready made buy sell systems, techniques without doint any efforts.

i dont know what level of newcomers r coming now? even a simple command-OBSERVE THE PRICE,SHUTTING OFF ALL NOISES.- people may not follow.
just remember - at a std low ,responsible buyers must join.similarly after certain prefixed target we book profit as trader. to move up and up, u reqd good potential growth ,excess money induced for development not lip service.
real trading reqd excessive discipline, which comes after long days of practice.a good trader is always a very good risk manager first.

Telling the people that they are a disturbance can cause a fracture in the relations, so what I do is make it look scary. I show them one or two earlier trades/contract notes. Let them see that sometimes you have to sit tight the whole session for a 10 second trade, and if you blink, you can miss it. And then, I give a loud exclamation and say "Missed it !!!! I could've made 5000 bucks on that missed trade", and look at them as if to say "I missed it because I was talking to you" :D :D

How about not tell them what you are exactly doing :D The thing is stock market looks very approachable and easy money from the outside. So most people think that making money in stock market is either easy game (especially if you say you are doing it, then they think if he can do it, of course I can do it) and doesnt require any effort or that you are gambling. So...best not to show your laptop screen :D in the initial years IMHO. In later years when you are making good money, take an office and work from there, then decide who to share what with.

Why cause harm to someone ?? I tell them that it is the most difficult line of work that I have ever come across (and I have had quite a few changes of career in my 52 years) and that 7 years down the line I am still not at matriculate level. Of course, they don't believe you, but the 2-3 times that I have let someone sit next to me and watch the screen, they find the charts and price movements interesting at first, and then scary after 15-20 minutes :).

Then there are those who will sit next to you and egg you to trade "Buy this, looks like it will go 10% high", or even more laughable "Buy this, it will go up because I am saying so". In such cases I just say "Ok, deposit 20000 Rs. advance with me to cover the losses if they happen, and I'll take the trade. If there is any profit, I'll give it all to you". That scares them. It's ok for the others to comment as long as their money is not involved. So if I find someone becoming a pest about it, I bring the topic to involving their money.

There's not much one can do about those who call it gambling or "doing nothing productive" etc. So I avoid those.
