Another key psychology trading principle - cut the noise n be firm in your view - watching/listening too many view points leads to noise & tactical trades

Still holding last long position - will see if option pattern understanding is valid by eod - target 7300 still intact (nifty)

Yesterday, someone walked into our office for a trading position. We usually only interview someone who's come recommended. Anyway, this person had sent in his contract notes and the HR sent them to us.

After some scrutiny we figured this person traded with 2 different brokers and took opposite positions. He submitted the contract notes of the broker in which the position made a profit and discarded the other :)

Suffice to say the HR refused the interview saying he was too profitable!

Forex traders watch the words keenly (dovish/hawkish) to bet on currencies, it's a thrill to watch when they hear and interpret, sometimes market in general interprets the other way and astute traders make a killing after betting against a knee-jerk move:D
Usa market is expecting something that is why it's not down much....let see wot happens...

I agree that it is important to cut out the noise. Traders with a short-term focus were risking real money based on the expectation of a political outcome and the market's reaction to that outcome. It is harder to think of a more dangerous way to speculate with your money outside of a casino. A far more productive use of time for long-term investors would be to realize that most of the folks on the financial news networks provide far more entertainment that they do real investment knowledge or useful information. A far better use of time would be to search for the cheapest stocks in India that have the potential for huge long-term returns regardless of what the politicians and the markets do over the next few months or years.

Toofani move about to start - kis taraf aap khud dekh lena - I can only tell can hear the noise of wave
