Sometimes, the feeling when you book loss before it hits the stop loss is more satisfying than winning the trade. They are the losers which have spared you from a bigger loss.
Yes, it has worked in my trading. But one should be ready to re-enter if necessary.

If you watch this video by Paul Tudor Jones Paul Tudor Jones

He says he takes entry many times, getting out if it does not behaves as he wants.
We many have the correct analysis, but our timing might not be correct. So keep trying to get that trade, which we planned. But with every entry be ready to get out if it does not behaves as per our plan. Nothing wrong in getting out, rather than taking losses.
We can always Try again :)

Cutting losses has to be one of the top law in trading.

Nice break down in SBIN

Da, under what conditions do you not reenter?
In case of weak and limping breakout I may not re-enter at that level but will re-enter at fresh level if that breakout succeeds. But on a strong and quick reversal to original direction, will always re-enter.

If one has properly back tested his strategy and it is profitable then why run away before it hits SL. Thats why i always recommend to do bar replay than running backtest afl. bar replay gives you confidence to hold the trade in good and bad conditions.

Profitability and RR of the system increases in most cases....but these depend on each individual...some will say I have kept my stoploss so let the market hit it...some will say the trade is not working out so get out fast and re-enter if necessary.
