Why cant you be both? Simeone was both, Guardiola was both.
Simeone and Guardiola were never even close to the class Maradona belonged to as a player... And while both of them are good coaches... Pep had a dream team in Barca... ( he is unable to replicate the same success in Bayern while Barca under Enrique is still successful :D!) and Simeone also had moderate success in coaching .. and none of them even close to Mourinho and Ferguson in coaching skills...

And Sachin as a captain was a big failure too !

No idea bhai...I have still not reached a stage where my volume will make any difference to market....so I have never bothered about it.

I disagree more or less but You talk in absolutes. Playing and coaching probably have some different and some overlapping skills. Some can do well both, some cant.
Obviously, if you are compare everyone with the possibly best player ever, they will fall short. We are not talking of someone being both the best player ever and best coach ever.
You cannot deny success of Pep and the manner of how they played - ofc he had good players but he made them into a better team. And Simeone won inspite of all the limitations against such teams as Barca.

Anyway, all out of topic - i wont discuss more, good day.
