ADX and + DI /-DI system is a standard indicator in Amibroker.

It is a good system and trades only in strong trends and remains out in sideways markets.... It has following disadvantages :

1) Signals come late so we will have to fergo the initial portion and last portion of a trend.

2) Signals sometime come when the trend is about to end.

So if we are the types who want to catch each turn of the market, then this may not be a good system for us.

That's right, but may be it can be used as a complementary indicator, esp in swing trades.
 
What if the tweaking of LTCG comes with a complete removal of STT ?? I would always welcome such a change ! :clap:
I doubt if Government will do this in the current budget as STT is sure tax which requires no collection efforts and zero 'chori' in it.LTGG is very difficult to collect, plenty of chori in it and this year there is hardly any LTCG in stock markets ..so no tax collection for next year also in LTCG .

though this is a traders thread i want to ask you guys is it better to invest in stocks which will give you some 2 to 3% dividends every year than investing in real estate properties. right now infosys dividend yield is around 5.31%. if we invest 10lakhs in infosys we get 53k every year. that's better than the rent you get on your real estate property. i'm new to this investment and trading. i'm 25 years old and having this dilemma. could expert traders through some ight on this??
I know dividends depend on company profits and cant be taken for granted.

There are very few good stocks with professional managements giving dividend yield of over 5% and we cannot depend on one stock but must have portfolio of stocks which are also growing companies.
