Is/was breaking system/method rules a problem for anyone here? How did you/do you plan to overcome it? It IS a problem I struggle with often, I have many days when I dont break rules and suddenly, the gambler in me, the tuktuk in me all get out on a single day and try to destroy my profits :) It is not a continuous thing, I do follow rules most days, the gambler and tuktuk guy remain suppressed until one day they rear their ugly heads.Would be great to get some help in overcoming this failure in part, almost feels like a character flaw :(
Its easy to follow rules on the days we are winning, ego defence mechanism fails us on losing days.

NR4/NR7 does always indicate up - they also lead to downmoves
Study Fakey setup before commenting ... i never said it will go up...anyways...if i further elaborate, it will amount to trading call :lol:...so cutting of this discussion now...

NR days are indication of Bo it can be any direction..as far as my little knowledge is concerned..

st da, i think this is last remaining question i have on VT reversal trades.

Here, we have slow VT Down with Lower Highs and lows. Not showing upgraded VPs. BO at VPH2 changes trend to probable up and we go long. Strong move breaks multiple VPH. VPH1 is a major pivot.

Where is vERL - VPH1 or VPH2 ? ie where will you look for shorts, if price starts moving down ( without making fresh VPs )
Both of them are Highs from previous downtrend and we have not yet formed a VPH in current uptrend.
thanks

I think a bigger picture is better.circle is minor, rectanle is vp ,triangle is major pivot.

Is it because we fail to keep track of the system/method on losing days and more focused on the loss and making up of it or something like that?

I also have the unhealthy habit of switching to lower tf (to understand price move better I kid myself :D) after a couple of losing trades

Visual flag breakout, price took off from point 2, so any reversal on VPH failure would be from 2 only iMHO. Of course we want the correct answer from ST Da.

Only for educational purpose on the "Long Straddle". If your put would be open according to yesterdays post, then you could close it with the sell of the 7400 put and buy back the short 7600 call. Now you would have reversed your position and the call could work again, as now the put pair is safe. This decision would be made on the support the hourly chart shows or on the support the five min shows. If this support is clearly broken, then back to the previous position and the put will run.
