I'm not a rich mans kid...money lost is lost.
I need to work for 6 weeks to earn this back, since I'm onsite I can take this loss. But the trading is not worth it I think. Planning to switch to equity.
if we wont follow risk mgmt., equities can also kill us, bit slowly though :D :(

NOW that u have mentioned i remember him scalping for few points with huge quantity..i though he was great trader...his example reminds me of another example that had happened in this forum itself where a trader lost about 4.5 lakhs and with 50 thousands left he wanted to recover all of his money by scalping for few points within 3 months.. we all know what happened after that....
Yeah, that's why I mentioned it. He posted two trades, one for 30 points and other for 6 points (at least that's what I can remember). I was wondering then why a big trader would post a trade for 6 points.

When you were making money scalping on large quantity ,trading was worth it....the reason for your loss is excessive positions ...there is nothing wrong with trading and the markets. Think about it .

Was there anything wrong in my first trade ? I entered when it was in up move but caught in a trap and I exited to cut my losses.

Second one was a forced trade and my mind was not steady that time due to the first loss to think logical.

With the amount of capital you seem to have , you would better be trading from higher timeframes. Less noise , cool nerves.

His logic shows a lack of financial literacy. Since trading is secondary for him, he should know his risk taking ability if he wants to speculate.

If he is genuinely all in, then he should not mix two cash flow streams like this.

A third scenario can be trading primary and job secondary, then his logic makes sense, but I doubt it.

No offence meant, but just an opinion :thumb:
