General Trading Chat

Everyone is free to ignore the "psychoanalysis" and continue trading the way they do or think seriously about the statement which in my view is an essence of swing trading.

Seems like we were typing our replies around the same time.

I am finding it tough to change the psychology, despite the tonnes of knowledge gained from this forum. I have been seriously thinking about counselling.

this "too high" thinking has ruind trades many time for me
thats where auto trades win as no emotions involved.
Yes people have been considering 7000,7200,7400,7500 and 7700 as "too high".Auto trade is not an answer. You will switch off autotrade thinking price too high and there may be a reversal here....willingness to take a loss if the market reverses will do the trick.

Jokes apart, this is the exact essence of my problem in trading. I am unable to join a trend because I wait for a correction, and when the correction happens, I am afraid to get in because it looks sharp enough for a reversal, or maybe I keep my price too far or edit when the ticker approaches my price.
correction good for swing entries
but intraday mein pullback ke chakker mein reversal ka bhi jhaad hai ,
I was once 150 points up in BNF , pullback aaya I add 1 lot more , aha mauja hi mauja ,
pullback wapis nahin aaya , profit to gaya , dahej mein loss de gaya :annoyed::confused::mad:

The above is one of the main reason why inspite of strong trends, traders dont make money. A trend once in motion lasts for a few days. But it will have antitrend corrections and every correction traders consider as reversal, take reversal position and get stopped out. They cannot enter at higher price in uptrend as they find price "too high" and the whole trend is wasted in trying to trade in antitrend direction or "wait and watch".

Dear Smart Trade Sir,

You have already shared your valuable knowledge. If time permits and if viable, kindly share any yard stick that you use to quantify and classify it as pullback instead of reversal?

Any pointers such as if a certain condition is violated, it won't be a pullback but a reversal etc...

Something like a checklist if you will...

Once again appreciate your generosity for sharing the "propitiatory knowledge" you share as what you tell cannot be found any where at least in it's rawest form..
