The person and his associates should be put behind bars for 2-3 years atleast.But some good beginning has been made. This also shows how much money these tipsters make by fooling people. They made 3.5 Cr in 12-14 months.

This seems to happen regularly. SEBI either does not have lathi or is unwilling to use it.
Another example - Fraud promoters of small/micro companies take investors for a ride, SEBI bans entity and stocks gets delisted - people are left holding worthless stocks ( ex Dr datson some time back ). Moneylife had some articles.

If SEBI was really serious to safeguard the interests of retail investors , 80% of the companies listed in BSE would have been delisted long long back.
