The RR thing has also become a political thing now with CNBC going all out against the govt now :D

http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/cu...ovt-have-problemshandling-talent_6898941.html

And offcourse times saying RR purposely leaked his resignation email before resigning to use cronies to put pressure on the govt. Also he kept rates purposely high to help FIIs :p

As I mentioned elsewhere, Rajan didn't seem to have realized that the government is a majority owner in the PSU banks and thus has a major say in their working. Now the manner in which he has "leaked" his decision does not speak well of him, IMO.

For market
Till brexit. I feel there is selling at levels above 8250 futures. So a move towards 8300 sell can give a good move downwards. And there is buying at below 8150 yesterday so levels at 8100 we can see a good move above. In between wdnt trade for now

Would like to know other seniors comments

Reason: Chart for this month plus
FII buyers today sellers yesterday
DII buyers yesterday sellers today.

Looks like institutions are doing the same at the extremes

The level at which he was being humiliated was also not called for, after all he has all the respect behind him. Its okay that he would be put to pressure but it should not have been done with nasty proxy statements, IMO.

Agree... It speaks of the stature of the accuser vs the accused. Being called a 'Congress agent' having 'foreign mentality' (whatever that means), of 'laundering money' etc is what no respectable person will accept.... But RR maintained his dignity and did what he was forced to do.... Nobody from the finance ministry or PMO's office stood up for him... so intention was clear to make RR chose Rexit... The country lost the worlds best bank governor without a doubt. Loss is ours, not his.

I personally had poor experience PSBs. no value added service. Even if you own a PSB account for 15 years with good balance if you ask for a credit card or loan you have to prove your salary and so on. They are disinterested in you as a customer.

On the contrary they would give away all loans to corporates and their
cronies indulge in scams. I dont understand in detail but I believe RR has asked for provisioning for PSBs for bad loans.

If people have devalued PSBs and put more value to other companies. It may be bad for Indian govt. But if thats what it is then show its the way it is and correct it. PSBs would do better if shaken a little.

I am not sure if rajan went overboard. Again I dunno how west works. They bail out banks print money in excess. US japan europe and so on ... So not sure just hoping we have a better guy coming..
