Before demonetisation, total money invested in mutual funds was Rs 14 Lakh crores...after demonetisation it has now become 19 Lakh crores.Maharashtra leads in this investment with total of 7.23 Lakhs crores.....so MF investment has gone up by 35.7 % after demonetisation

On the equity side, while the FII's ran for cover and then returned in even greater panic, that part of their money is stacked higher then when they left.
For retail, equity already attractive and DeMo excess liquidity has really messed up with FD rates.
They were/are miserable after that, and Debt funds is the ideal place to offset a small amount.
Conventionally, all average households have their bulk in FD's which I'd guess may have liquidated only like 2-4%.
I wonder if even 10% of all FD's got deployed on the lower risk MF's we'd see the respective counters double
