I am not expecting it to be a non-event! Even if the rate is not hiked I think the Fed will be hawkish and non-accommodating in tone.
This Fed meet is more important than any other meet b'cos latest data was not conducive for rate hike. So if Fed ignores the latest data and say US economy has achieved near full time employment etc and hikes the rate then it would mean it will Not be data dependent and probably going to hike rates at regular intervals in 2017.
It need not be told that regular hike will cause massive turmoil in countries like India. Only real, solid recovery in Indian economy can save bulls in that case. Days of surviving on fudged GDP figures and green shoots will be passe.
