This is very interesting. We have a gap in our direction of trade and this gap is not beyond the range of last two trading days, so as per rules we have to wait for the pivot to form.

Now please confirm that it is your individual preference to go short after 5 min bar low less gap filter ---- keeping in mind the today's largish gap.

To my mind this is your individual aggressive style, please comment, so that we may know that the rules are being interpreted differently.

different ways of interpretating and here is mine bee
Huge Gap Up on nifty ... After the first bar there is a sideways movement (next 3 bars) with almost equal highs and lows ... so we have a sideways pivot ... above which is a breakout waiting for us and below which is a breakdown in line.
such situations have been discussed many times on mother thread .. can bring one for you ... compare and analyse ... to apply is at your own discretion.

Yes Bee...largish gap with an opening beyond the last 2 days high. More after the markets...

well said..to the point Komal ji...more over it is a pivot in lower TF 30 mins...so it's one's choice... !

No Komal -- the point is whether gap rule was applicable today at the beginning of day's trade today or not?

After three or four sideways bars, the pivot is shifted to congestion level low is a different issue and will arise after 4 hours.
