Re: Live discussion Saint's - 60 minute flow

Nope,ST........that rule is if we get a huge move up and a gap up and a bearish candle.

We don't have a gap out of the prev day's range,we don't have bearish first candles,............we hold.

SAR at yesterday's low.

Saint
Sir,
We can not move our SAR lod-f today after 1pm/2pm bar? Is not an sideway move? Please give some info regarding this sar which is still yday low.

Regards

Considering My long trigerred today at yday HOD +F , going by EOD reversal rule should I revert back to short at EOD in todays scenario.

PS- Not reverted actually as I did not revert yday, would start using the rule from next cycle. Query is just to understand the rule.

thanks

very good question Komal...you took words out of my mouth...it will be a sort of double EOD Reversal... :D

but anyways, I think lets not complicate things, going with pivots is much easier...for ppl who did not reverse today, they could have possibly used the moving filter today and still be in short position....

so again...it seems right now we are in a heavy congestion zone...BO on either side is needed for a clear entry/exit....

Saint sir
Did you also apply EOD reversal yday.

I agree the gap rule doesnt come into picture today, but no pivots formed today, the previous PL is faraway yday low.
would it be wrong to apply 2 bar rule based on A)the small gap, b)11am bar is a break out bar that broke yday high, C)then we have sideways bar which tried to break out(takeout todays high) but eventually failed.
So now considering the 3 sideways bar as one(do not have proper term to denote them) cant we shift SAR at todays Low.

glad to see you around :)

thanks

Yes Komal, the idea behind EOD reversal is that the pivot on/under which we are reversing if the market is unable to hold at the end, then we reverse to original position. ( It was a PH break today which failed to hold and PL break yesterday which failed to hold.)

This rule has its own share of failures but works most of the time and keeps us out of trouble.

ST

But as komal asked if she was entering fresh long today 1> 5mnts bar high+f or 2> ysrdays high+f, in both conditions long did triggered.

In that case, should the reversal from long to short at eod is correct or not??
Plz frnds do commnts on that.
To make it clear for future trading.

Whichever point you reverse at,if not held at the close,we reverse at the end of the day.

This is a tweak I suggest you use after gaining some experience in 60 min method. Going short to long and again reversing the full position to short is very easy in theory, but tough to practice.

END OF DAY REVERSAL:

Imagine holding a Long position, initial along with adds. A counter move happens, takes out the pivot lows and puts you out of that trade into a fresh Short position. Now, by the end of that trading day, we should have a closing below the pivots which had put us into that trade. Inability to have a stronger close in our favour would mean that the breakout lacked strength and hence we need to reverse our position back to Longs. And when we use the End of day reversalwe reverse with full positionOriginal as well as Adds which we held before entering this Short Trade. Vice versa for Shorts.

As an example.say we are long 4 lots of Nifty and add 6 more lots on our way. A reversal happens and we enter into Shorts with 3 or 4 lots. Now in case we have an End of Day reversal that daywe will get Long with our original position of 10 lots..behaving as if the Shorts we took that day did not happen at all.
