but 4178 was the high for September series..now we are rolled over into October...so you would be using the high of the Oct series from today..but that is the case only when we open gap down tomorrow...
4178 was pivot at 16:00 bar of Oct series only

Dont agree with you on the R Cap trade. Now, when we have a stop...we adhere to it in our trade. However, in the closing minuites of trade, if the stock moves dangerously close to the stop...without touching it, we need to worry a bit.
Worry that the stock may open above the stop levels the next day. Agreed we still follow the trade by monitoring the high of 1st 5 min bar....but a better thing would be to liquidate the trade and enter fresh the next day, if it opens below the stop levels and cross the 5 min low.

Hope this has not confused you.....moreover its a personal rule. So you can avoid it.....or backtest and find out whats good.

Thanks,
Rakesh

Yes...stops change to 4222 for tomorrow. In case we open gap down tomorrow (just a probability), we lower our stops to high of the 4pm bar...(will someone post a chart of Oct contract pl).

Rakesh
Rakesh,

I have a question here ( for my understanding only). We work with 60 min. charts of current month to decide PH and PL. Tomorrow, it will still be 60 min charts for current months futures although for the month of Oct. I suppose futures value will get adjusted and will not show the premium of Rs. 40/=, as it was throughout the day today.

Under the circumstances, is there any need to adjust the SAR or leave it at 4190+20 = 4210?

Is there any mistake in my understanding? If so, will you kindly throw some light?

Yash
