1 more question Do u mean if nifty open in wide gap which is not filled in 1st 5min then only we can use 1st 5 min high + 20 rule to go long ?

Another criteria specified for Gaps is : It should be a visual gap!!! Which it is not today!!!!

For the visual gap the open should far away from the previous day's range. But today's open and low are very close to the yesterday's low. So, it is not Visual Gap.

i posting a chart with two GAPS please compare this two ... if we have a situation like the first GAP in the chart then we may use this rule which you are saying

Thanx Satya........the first oval above is a huge move down and a gap down way away from the prev day's price levels.That is when the First Bar +20 comes into play.

Today's:Those criteria were not met,so that scenario does not come into play today.....

So,trade as always as per Pivots,blah,blah,blah.......everyone already knows,I guess.
