I saw your post yesterday but choose not to answer it, thinking that you may not have read atleast posts for current trade before asking questions....
Sorry since you quoted my post yes, you have done your work....:)

Adding to the short/long are done as Hari Explained in his beautiful charts. But also the adds done on break of lows of the day and also break of first 5 minutes bar (but always in favor of your trend)
In the last trade all the adds done based on the above rule.
Thanks SamFisher for the extra adds. I will he should first understand the basics then the about the other adds.

Many newcomers are here recent days. :)

Regards,
Hari.

so who is throwing the party tonight ? guys here gone long and FED saw it, and he immediately cut the rate by 50 bps .You guys are very influential.:D:D

alex,

we dont know what will happen when market opens tommorrow. but when u see prices on the charts, you will notice somekind of news or some fundamental change is coming to support the pivot or support / resistance only to prove the technical move of price on the chart correct.

and if tht doesnt happen..... we always have a stop:D

Sorry for posting it here. Please tell me a realtime intraday data provider of nifty futures. i purely need it to track the 60 minute flow, so dont need a costly one.

Thank you for your help

A free source is nseindia dot com, paid is icharts dot in. There are many others thru brokers. I use nseindia. refresh and use for manual plot.

I found today's 30 min chart to be quite action-packed, and nearly had all the concepts covered...
longs, shorts, pivots, shifting of SAR, 4 bar rule, adds, part-booking of profits, etc

I have posted today's trade with chart at Asish Da's INTRADAY NIFTY TRADING SET-UPS (LIBRARY) thread for the same reason.

http://www.traderji.com/derivatives...fty-futures-trading-thread-19.html#post231453

I felt that all of Saint Sir's teachings should be at one thread, where ONLY setups/rules are mentioned.... for live trades, clearing of doubts, etc, this thread is anyway available & suitable...

I hope that you all realise that this separation is for our own mutual benefit... newbies & experienced, alike. In this 2500+ post thread, it would be quite a task for a newcomer to search for relevant rules/exceptions...

If i have missed any rule/exception, please mention it.

Hi class,
I have started a new thread to compile a help system for 60 minutes flow.
Here…
http://www.traderji.com/futures/24457-companion-guide-saints-60-minutes-flow.html

Please start contributing what ever information you think is relevant. I will be not very active today as I am getting some unexpected guests today (Dasera). But will be back here soon. In the mean time please keep adding what ever you think is good. We will reorganize it later. First let us put all the stuff. Even if you just put the links to the resource that is fine(otherwise cut paste is recommended)

Thank you, SamFisher...
A very useful initiative, which had badly become the need of the "hour", literally...;)
I always felt that we need to divide this CLASSROOM thread, and make a new LIBRARY thread, where all concepts, rules, exception, etc are maintained & updated whenever a good illustrative trading day comes up...
PDF files, etc are floating in this thread, but what if a newcomer visits this thread & feels the need to understand the concept first... in this trading world, where every minute is important, how can he scan this massive thread for such rules, etc.... he won't even have an idea about the PDF file....

Thanks once again, Sam - and as u have rightly said in that thread's first post, one should treat that thread as a LIBRARY, where silence is not only golden but also appreciated... for realtime discussion, trades, etc, we have this CLASSROOM thread anyway...(something like in school days, where we used to have textbooks & guides)

(one small request, though it's my personal opinion, which may be wrong - u have made that new thread under DERIVATIVES - FUTURES....
well, since this classroom thread is under EQUITIES, can u shift that thread in this EQUITIES folder, so that a newbie can easily see it in the index page; he won't have an idea of such a thread which is some diff. folder....
if u think that this change of folder is reqd., then u'll have to request Traderji for that....
totally your discretion)

i just came up with an idea............

the main point in trading the 60 minute flow is the pivots........as we all know the "go with the eye" concept of great saint sir..........i sometimes have trouble in identifying the correct pivots......the pivots that qualify for moving the stoplosses....which is very important.....i am pretty sure that many new beginners also have the same problem............

also a few concepts of 4 bars require studying of the bars........

if all of the seniors allow me.....we can open a new thread wher we can have only case studies of the charts........

there any1 can put up historical charts of 60 minutes and 30 minutes (where applicable)....with marked pivots and stops........

2ndly all the seniors can put up there examples of all the explanations of various bars and pivots.............and also they can correct all the beginners seeking knowledge..........this way we will have a complete compilation of many many examples of each and every situation in mkt.......studies of all kinds of pivots........

and also we can put up charts of other stocks which may help us to idenify stocks which may qualify for "THE 60 MINUTES FLOW" ........

so we can have so much of learning involved in that thread dedicated only to charts case studies.............

a lot of practice will help us in live trading.....

but it is only possible if seniors.......the whole team agrees with me that this is actually required...........:)

regards

neeraj :)

Saint,
Re: 4 bar rule

Missed the wonderful action today due to power outage at my place. Was going thru the posts on mini-flow and 60-min, as it has now become my lifeline. Learned another nuance of 4-bar rule. In mini-flow today, there were 5 bars from the start with all making progressive lows but the last bar was green and also took out the high of 4th bar. Normally I would not have considered this as the next bar in this series of down bars and would have kept the stop at high + filter of the 2nd bar and not brought it down to high + filter of the 3rd bar. This concept of shifting the stop to 3rd bar when the low of the 4th bar is taken out was not known to me. And this was the turning point of todays trade.

Now extending this to the 60-min flow today, we had a steep down move so the 4-bar rule kicks in here also. Here first three bars are making LH and LL but the 4th bar took out the low of 3rd bar. Here ofcourse the 4th bar went on the take out high of the first bar also. The pure traders would have held on to their SAR but the aggressive ones would have brought it down to the 2nd bar high + filter and would have reversed very early today.

Can you please guide me here??? Thanks
Beethoven
Nothing but the 2 bar method..........yes we utilise it to great success in ABAN ,but prefer Pivot Play only in the Nifty.

We are not as aggressive as in intraday as there is no time factor for the trade to end.

"Friends there is a great message in this post "
In his thread"teach a man to fish" some where saint also talks about basics.....
Well excerpts from zigziglar's book can tell this better..............................
"Championship Fundamentals and Timeless Truths"
The Green Bay Packers won the first two world championships of professional football by outscoring their opponents in Super Bowls I and II .The Packers were coached by the great fundamentalist Vince Lombardi. When Lombardi's team would fail to play well(which wasn't often),he would begin practice the following week with the same basic comments:"Gentlemen,we performed below the standards we have set for ourselves as a championship football team. This week we are going to return to the fundamentals."Lifting the football he had been holding in his hands to a position above his head so that every one in room could see it clearly,Lombardi would intone in that deep, raspy voice he kept hoarse from shouting,"Fellows, this is a football."And without fail, team prankster Max McGee would call from the back of the room,"Not so fast Coach, not so fast."

Rakesh is an Ex Airforce Officer that is why he is talking about re-re-revise the system ,he knows the importance of practice .Saint,rakesh,rkkarnani,Satya,samfisher,ST,NC,M4UH spend hours going through every post and back testing we can see timings of their posts.
There are various posts which has inspired me a lot.

regards
faith

#post will be deleted tomorrow evening
Why is there this policy in writing some really great stuff, and deleting it later........leave it alone, faith, good stuff, and thanx!!
