Going With The 60min Flow!!!

dear saint and seniors,

I m attaching herewith hourly chart of jindal steel. I want to know as per our 60 min flow system are we short or long in current trade and what would be our stop loss ? (as i m confused with this chart !). please reply my quory.

Hi, Its not a very simple thing to answer correctly!!! So many things are involved!! First and foremost : Is the chart of Jindal Steel suitable to be followed in 60 min. flow profitably!!!? If it is, then comes the question :What is the filter/room applied to it while trading!!! (THis can only be judged by analysing the chart historically and dedusing the appropriate room/filter size!!
Now suppose the charts are tradable as per 60 min. flow and we apply a room size of 10 points : We are still short in Jindal steel right from 1227 to present rate of 890!!!! A whooping 337 points profit in just 5 trading sessions!!! Must be 100% return if we consider a margine of 25%!!

I m not trading this stock, just looked and wanted to apply 60 min flow system on this, but when i saw last 3-4 session (perticulary fifth bar of date 08/10/2008 high 959 and taken out by 7th bar at 980 - if apply 20 point filter like aban it is taken out ..) i confused and asked u senior member to guide.

Hi DNJ, Any chance that you are refering to the Cash chart of Jindal Steel!!! The levels mentioned do not match in futures.
The high of 3 PM bar on 8th is 964 and the high of last bar is 982!! Moreover as per Pure rules the # PM bar is not a PH!! The SAR on 8th Sep. remained at the high of 5 PM bar on 7th.... a situatiom almost similar to Nifty futures on 8th when Aggressive traders went long and Pure remained short due to almost identical formation in charts!!!

Can you just summarize the rules for Gapups and GApdowns in both the direction of the trade and opposite. Just working on an afl to assist the 60 min flow traders... Dont know how it will work out... just trying..

Kartik wait for one more day. saint is compiling it.

It is confusing so long as it is not sorted out in the brain........had been bogged down by the Pure guys who were not able to swallow the very many tweaks,and wanted to stay with the Original Way.

And yet,the very many tweaks add value to just pivots......though tried desperately to get things across,unable to get through to those who loved the Original Way....

So no choice but to tell about both ways.


Before people start to commit harakiri,am going to come out with the Rules again for both over the weekend.........(yes NC,had been threatening to do so for some time and never got down to it) .Choose either.Be Rigid about it.

Hello Karthik Sir,

There are 2 modes or versions of the 60 Min Flow.

Gaps are traded only in the Agrro version, in the pure form only pivots are used for reversals..

The rules for Gaps for 60 mins flow are quite simple. When the gap is in favor then there is no change in SL, i.e. if Long and we get a gap up or we are short and get a gap down no change...

If we are Long and get a gap down and the gap is below the SL, then we wait for the first 5 mins candle/bar to form. The stoploss now shifts to the Low - 20 (room) of this first 5 min bar.

Similarly when Short and get a gap up and the gap is above the SL, then we wait for the first 5 mins candle/bar to form. The stoploss now shifts to the High + 20 (room) of this first 5 min bar.

Note 1: In both the cases above, if the gap is not big enf to go beyond the SL, then there is no change in the flow...

Note 2: Room for NF is 15 for SAR/SL, 7 for Adds and 20 for Gaps ...

Anyways SAINT Sir ... please tell me the reason for Switching long in ABAN at 1008.
I cannot determine this level in the charts. Please clarify.
I would have switched at 1130 ( Days High) + 20 = 1150. Am I missing some rule????

Long on ABAN now........first half at 940,back half at 1008 for shorts,long at 1008.

Hi All,

The attached link consists of all the explanation given by Saint with charts and random thoughts of Saint which I came across and found it useful.There may be many more good explanation by Saint which i might not have came across.But I think this is almost the gist of the 60 Minute flow.

Hope some might find it useful.
