What I wanted to ask is..why didnt we use gap rules at the high of first 5 min bar....and why at the next bar.

In the last post regarding change in method he had written :

c.No reversals with Visual Gaps till an aggressive pivot is formed.....and these pivots form most of the times before prices march along.Have to find some way around a short trade that goes in our favour and gaps down big and blasts upwards with no pivots.As MJ would say it,back to the drawing boards........

But Sir, at least I was confused today. Gap rules state the 1st 5 min candle....and 3010 was in the next candle.

Pl let us know in your time.

This is my understanding.

THIS ARE NIFTY LEVELS (& NOT FUTURE).

1. 09.55 to 10.00 Nifty opened in GAP H 2966 L 2920
2. 10.00 to 11.00 H 3005 L 2927 - VALID PIVOT
3. 11.00 to 12.00 H 2999 L 2962


Hence, bar of 11.00 oclock became valid pivot and hence hight of 11.00 + filter.
