An idea to those who are not scared stiff........horrified out of their minds......by having SARs 3 in 3 days.....and who take it as part of trading(this thread was never meant as a tool for investing!)........If indeed you get a pivot break on the 60min charts that fails immediately and nullifies the entire breakout bar, revert back to your original positions.

I get a bit worried about saying anything here......The above is not a failed breakout pattern trade and all that........It is a common sensical look at the charts, going long on a pivot break, and reentering short on the nullification of that move.

But again, these are not for those who are scared about their beloved SARs getting triggerred often.......2 in a day :eek:

Anyway,a suggestion that is all.......and another thing:For those who are unhappy with this method, things are easy and simple as always.......Find another method!!So many threads out there ......simple,isn't it?

Very rightly put forth Sir.....

Another thing...in any trend following strategy with Pyramiding, the success rate (as in profitable trades/losing trades) is bound to be close to 50%...as we are constantly moving our average buying price up (as in Long trade). Hope everyone knows that. We make big on winning trades and lose small on the losing ones...

And yes...anyone who finds a better and more profitable system....congratulate yourself, as you would have beaten the best system (Saints 60 min flow) in the world..
Not saying it just for the heck of it, but I have personally tested a few "great" systems..none comes even close to this one.

Thank you Saint,
Rakesh

Saint first of all let me raise my hand and say that I am one of your students who doesnt care how many SAR are hit during a day. I always have your quote by my side " We have to give pennies to make pounds".

Now coming to Failed breakouts Saint I have a dilemma. Sometimes we have a very clear breakout/down from pivots where all the time frames usually agree and our position become profitable instantly, most of the times the prices wont even come back to our entry price but there is one more scenario which is real trouble maker.

Sometimes prices just about break our pivots and then start reversing back and we get scared by reversal and get back to our original position but in due time the move reverses again and we are left holding our losing position.

So how do we tackle such breakouts Saint, which will threat to reverse but dont actually do so. Are there any Visually obvious signs of a Definite Failed Breakouts

Thanks for your king guidance Sir. Everyone needs this kind of Moral Support in turbulent times :)
Prabhjeet,

For ideas to flow,I shouldn't be made to feel perenially on the defensive.....which somehow has been happening with this thread.

Forgive me if,from now on,I am on the offensive(not against you guys!).A helpful, sharing, ideas flowing, but offensive at times Saint is better for everyone here......than a defensive Saint!

At least I need to feel that way.,,,even if not truly offensive.

Saint

ps:Rule No 1:Any sarcastic insulting post in this thread will not be tolerated anymore.......you will not get a reply to your post, but you will defintely get as fitting a reply as you deserve.

Totally understand your feelings Saint, students can question teacher to understand a subject but they are not permitted to question Teacher's authority itself.

So from now I will have the vision of Saint with 2 feet long stick rather than Santa Claus type of personality, man I am really scared :D
