A major case study in the offing. All posts of Saint from 850 page to be archived.

This gives many scenarios - gap strategy implementation ( or not), sideways movement and a new insight in the last post.

Requires study after market hours.

Saints uninhabited flow is great - we are now on the move again:)

Thanks Saint

RK,

How I dealt with was as follows.......we have a sideways congestion and a breakout above pivot. The MovFil prevented a reversal....Whether we revert or not doesn't mean that it is not in an uptrend.A very weak limp uptrend no doubt.

If price had gapped down or started even, all fine....a gap up was in keeping with the ongoing, albeit a weak trend and against our positions.......meaning I treat it like I would treat a gap up against our direction above the pivots.....to reverse over the first bar's high.

It is very rare that the filter keeps us out of a trade these days.....it did yesterday. Can sometimes be a great boon, but when it doesn't,we have to have counter measures to tackle it.

As I understand we are now long above 1st bar+filter as the counter measure ?

Saint excuse me for being a bit dull today morning...did not fully understand what you are trying to convey...I did understand that the MovFil prevented a reversal yesterday. Price opened at almost same level, moves up to 2625 and closes 2587. It was a good move up but did not maintain the strength as per close of the 5 minutes bar. 11 AM bar breaches the high + filter so if you meant we go long above the 10 AM high + filter, then the trade is long....by 11 AM as per my charts and filters applied by me. If you wished to convey something different then the same has not entered my thick skull. Please , post again, whenever time permits.
Regards

Saint,

I have got what you want to say and thanks of this detailed analysis, it tells me a lot.

But for the benefit of easy understanding - can I say that -

Today's morning scenario is -

1. Yesterday's congestion forms a pivot ( which I prefer to describe as elongated pivot in my mind).

2. We have SAR at this pivot hi + filter.

3. We gap up beyond the SAR today morning.

4. Gap rules come into picture if prices move up.
