Yes I use different filter and also I dont use Moving filter, my SAR remains at the 1st 5min. bar for whole the day

HDIL great great going .....

Be very cautious on HDIL now, I have been trading it since long time, it has a habit of reversing abruptly after such furious upmoves

Prabh. You are right. Moving filter is not used here in 60 min, as far as I can remember from the rules in my memory. If the first 5 min bar hi + room is not taken out then we wait for a pivot to form and our SAR goes back to where it was last.

But here do you think gap (I am talking of Aban here only) was big enough for 5 min rule to come into picture??

Saint in his new rule has clearly mentioned about moving filter in gap opening.

here is what he said.

The Rs20 level in case of visual gaps,is a moving filter,which we have been using in the Intraday Mini Flow..............NF gaps up to H 3500 L3466,the next hourly candle has to hit 3520 for us to reverse to longs.....If it reaches 3515,our new entry price is 3535.

There is no moving filter in case of pivot reversals and 2bar method reversals.


On your query regarding applying gap rule to ABAN on 2nd .. yes the Gap is big enough to apply GAP RULE. The is no such defination of defining Big gaps .. Saint just say that it has to be a VISUAL GAP ...a gap which can be seen by naked chart zoomed out!!!!.

Bee for me gap rules are simple, as explained by Rakesh if we have gap in our direction which is out of last 2-3 day's range I will apply 1st 5 min + filter to reverse.

Regarding Moving filter let me clear that Saint had advised to use it even in 60 min. but I am not using it just because of my own preference. Saint's rules say that we have to use Moving filter in case of Gaps in 60 min. trades

No need to wait for Breakout, put the stops in place as seen as you see PL
