Re: Live discussion Saint's - 60 minute flow

Bee the important thing here is the Consistency in following the rules, even I am having a very Bullish view at this moment but I will like to trade what I SEE rather than what I THINK.

Look we have always used 5 min. low + larger filter in case of Visual Gaps and when our SAR was hit, it has more or less been a True Trend change. The outcome may be different this time but by following the rule which has more PROBABILITY of success I am trying to put ODDS in my favour and thats what trading is all about PUTTING MAXIMUM ODDS IN OUR FAVOUR.

Dont know how much my artistic mind will help thus having more belief in sytem rather than my hunches and putting SAR below 1st 5 min. Bar
Well till now I have been giving logic or art to my actions but my actions are pretty consistent. I have studied 60 min thread again and find at some point Saint struggling with gap rules. He made one innocuous looking post about waiting for a pivot to form after gaps. That set me thinking. In fact I was one of the most vocal gap rules proponents on 60 min and have told people to wake up and see the gap rules once or twice.

But now as I have gained experience gap rules have faded in significance and pivot formation and other ways to protect gains have taken precedence. In fact to be very frank, gap rules do not exist for me now.

For beginners I would request please follow Prabh, Komal and Rakesh.

Thanks

Yes Bee you are exactly right in saying that in initial days of 60 MIN. thread we used to wait for Pivot to form when GAP was in our direction, but Saint had sensed that there were not many people who had that Big stomach for that Big risk so new rules were later accomodated.

I will still stress on one thing only that Consistency is the key, even if one set of rules is better than other you will never know which one is better untilyou constantly apply each of them seperately.

Jumping between 2 set of rules is dangerous and one should decide his set of rules according to his risk appetite and his own Nature

You are very right, Prabh. Please follow rules. I think I am just thinking aloud here which I should stop.:)

I followed one set of rules and now I am following another set. In both I made money. But I have been consistent till I consciously change the rules - no arbitrary changeover for me. I am still evolving as I think most are still gaining and finding there own natural style, rhythm and risk appetite. The process is still on.

Bee,

On no pivots,a straight move up and a huge gap up....if not gap rules, look for another way to reverse early....Or else,if you are going to wait for a pivot.....all I can say is good luck and all the very best.
