Saint, I am trying to use the 60min flow to trade GOLD...so far few trades that I have executed using this method have given me excellent results...but I am having a hard time defining the room for entry/exit and add points....sometimes I use a filter of 10, sometimes 20, and sometimes 15...just not sure what should be the ideal filter...can you please help me with this...

I would be interested in back testing with gold and other commodities but don't know how to get the historical data for back testing this method with other instruments. Can you or anyone else help me on that?

Nifty, thank you for your help in this regard....you can get all the historical data for any commodity, Gold in our case, from MCXINDIA d o t c o m. They have datewise Bhavcopies for all the commodities there...I have to admit that I made 50k today using this flow method...

If we successfully implement this to commodities, then we can be making trading longer as commodities usually trade till midnight...so more money

hahaha.....maybe then we can implement intraday trading strategy as well

I was also thinking the same.But first I have to learn the basics of commodities ,some terms ,margin etc.,not a big task and I hope you will help.I will PM you and hope something concrete comes out than we can start a new thread with the guidance of our seniors.

I think LIQUIDITY comes into picture.Nifty Future's liquidity is much better than any commodity,rather many times.

What all tools do you use for trading Gold ? Do you use intra-day charts or you just go my the previous day's quotes and find out the PH/PL ? I see that you have been using different filters on different days (as per your message to Saint). How many lots do you trade on an average ? If possible can you post your trades here. (if it is off-topic you may consider posting it as a separate thread)

Sorry too many questions, just wanted to understand. Are you trading using ICICIDIRECT ?
