Also Vineet, why wasnt 11.00 and 1.00 bar highs considered as pivots? If they were pivots then why werent entries at their highs+7 taken. Cuz all pivotal entries are ph+7. They were considered as Move 1 by yourself. Pls explain.

My understanding is,

We use large filter for Move1 even if its from a pivot.
For Move2 or for reversals only we are considering small filter.

oh! sorry guys ..very-very sorry ...you know i am allowed to trade only upto 3.00 pm ..after that i have to run to my office ( our family business).as i am late today ..have to brake all traffic lights & still have to see some raises eyebrows there ....

Move 1 is higher pivot highs and lows in an uptrend each newer high unable to take out our MovFil,everytime a new high is made,the Mov Fil is moved to the latest pivot high.

Today's trade:

BAR 2 taking out the lows of BAR 1,not taking out our filter.........Next bar,BAR 3,taking out the BAR 1 high but still not over the MovFil....We have had three bars so far.We are still without a clear cut Move 1 direction.Till BAR 10,very clear cut higher pivot highs and lows but not taking out our MovFil.............this signifies a weakness,the inability of NF to clearly make a trend move.

It also means that we are waiting for an opportunity to get short.......a pivot low break is enough reason for us to clearly see a Move 2,and short the breakdown.Here the filter is normal filter.

Exit in the last 5mins of the day.

What is your filter value then? Why have to chosen to keep it further away? Do u keep them further away only during select days, like today?

BINGO, exactly my thought.

I was gonna say:

As long as its the first move, be it a pivot or a bar, our filter in only MF (14).
Else we would have not only entered today but also have had an add

In move 2, pivot or not, the filter is sf (7). Simple.

I had asked this question and Saint replied positively to the above explaination in the following post.

Bar 2 Low have 2 features after completing the Bar 3, which are PIVOT LOW and DAYS LOW. We will be first consider to go short with Large Filter.

Then...another case is, if from the Bar 3 we are getting good up move we will consider it as MOVE1 and the go Short with if Small Filter considering it as MOVE2. But the formation of Bars from 3rd bar are like sideways...it will be better to go with Large filter for short too.

Sounds logical. Right on. With you on that. In future, if I forget this conversation do remind me.

My explaination:

Leaders do not consider bar 3 as move 1, which rings well, because essentially the market has not really "moved" anywhere. Neither bulls nor bears have come out with a majority or shown any committment. And this is the story all the way till bar9 close, ONLY after which sf comes into picture.
