I see ICICIBank as a good candidate - with high volumes and decent turnover. Your comments and suggestions most welcome .

This thread is about trading with Saint's miniflow method. We are open to all persons and their inputs as long as it supplements trading with this method and totally not against or at tangent with this method.

No issues about trading any scrips or indices either. Many of us trade different stock futures like RIL,LT,ICICI Bank,HDFC Bank,SBI etc. I myself trade Bank nifty Futures and so does Saint.

Good idea humble. We need to mix equities with Nifty. If we have a mix of a few stocks (not highly co-related to Nifty) and Nifty I feel we will do much better.

Hello Sri,

After the pivots are formed on 30 min bar,we use small filter all the way to enter the first trade if it is not entered already by moving filter. But this small filter is also moved bar by bar to trigger entry.

1:30 bar broke the PH but not PH +sf. So we moved sf to 1:30 bar's high +sf which was triggered in 2 :00 bar. At the time of this entry our SAR was PL.For 2 bars rule to be applied it is necessary to wait till the close of 4 th bar and from 5 th bar onwards,the monent high/low of previous bar was broken,we can move SAR ( in our case the moment high of previous bar is broken,move SAR without waiting for close.

So when 2:30 bar was complete,we had already completed 4 bars required in 2 bars rule. So trail the SAR to 1:30 bar low -sf.After 3 bar high broke 2:30 bar's high,shift SAR to 2:00 bar's low -sf and so on....We are not waiting for 2:30 bar to complete to place our SAR ( we placed it at PL) but we are waiting for moving our SAR up on 2 bars rule... Clear ?

SAR should never be current bar's low -sf. Markets need space to move around till they mature and go to give you full profits. Current bars low will take you out prematurely and reversal will be wrong. If there is nothing nearby, keep last 60 min low as SAR.

Same method my friend...It made money in all 5 days it seems. Work with smaller filters. A MF of 3 and sf of 2 looks ok.The stock has lost its bubbly character.

Thanks ST for the filters. Even I had boiled down to 3 as MF.

As a mater of fact, ICICIBank most of the times i.e close to 80% of days moves "10.00 bar High + MF + 5" or "10.00 bar Low - MF -5", strange but i backtested this for Feb and March. Rs. "5" seems to be decent achieveable target .

The opening range was 4 points so I was inclined to apply the MF as 4 bucks as it = to the opening range. Thereafter the sf=2 bucks.
It has lost it's bubbly character indeed.
