Re: Saint's Intraday Miniflow - live discussion

Today the NF was easy...except for a tiny 30 min period which gave an oppertunity to add.
However for 'EDUCOMP' it was a choppy day and only the correct position of the SAR saved one.
THANKS to generous 'saint' for opening our eyes and educating us on the 'MF' and 'sf' concepts.
I attatch the chart for your study and comments to educate all on this forum.:clapping:

Sir
Please explain this 4Bar Rule for Entry

Thanks
Kinkhab
1)..If you have 4 complete bars on 30 min timeframe with higher high's and higher low's then you may go long with the SL at the low of the 2nd bar -sf.
2)..Reverse holds when for 4 bars their are lower high's and lower low's formed.:clapping::clapping:

Re: Saint's Intraday Miniflow - live discussion

4 bar rule is not used for fresh trade entry, but only for SARs
As always, great post..........and yes,4 bar rule for SARs and not for trade entry.

Using this method, the MovFil strategy got us into a beautiful trade on the Bank Nifty.......but not in NF!

Only over 2:30pm bar high did it trigger an entry long for us.Trade was basically 2916+f to 2940-ish.

The method saves you at times..........and then there are these days.

I guess i have to re-read some parts of the "Saint's posts" compliation.
This thing called "GREED" makes you overlook basic things as one is interested in a quick entry.:clapping::clapping:

Nope my friend...not correct. let me explain.

This actually is a 2 bar rule but somewhere someone started calling it 4 bar rule and some say 2 bars...some 4 bars...same rule.

The rule is NOT for fresh entry but it is for stoploss for existing position. We will take example for long position.Suppose you have a sequence of 4 consecutive bars with HH ,HL ,steep rise with a WRB possibly,no pivot lows in the viccinity, then on completion og 4 th bar, you can shift your SAR for your long position to the low of a bar 2 bars ago ie 2nd bar low-f. Once 5th bar makes a new high (from 5th bar onwards, you need not wait for bar to close )you can shift SAR to low of 2 bars back ie low of 3rd bar -f .....so on so forth. Mirror image for short position

Best Wishes,
