Re: Saint's Intraday Miniflow - live discussion

HI ST 'Da'
1) Thanks very mich for your prompt guidance which made me ponder for quite sometime...still i am thinking over it and perhaps tommorow as well.I do not give myself to the liberty to let a trade go unanalysed. I will think over it until I am convinced.
2) Yes, I did panic.... but it was on seeing the 2.15 bar on the 15 min timeframe that took out the SAR at 12.30 low.
3) If ignored it would have converted a winning position into a loosing position.
4) The 12.30 low is about 60 points from the top !!!!!
5)In any case I am scared of spinning tops, bear engulfs, shooting stars, and gravestone doji's at the top.... they have wiped off my profit on more than one occasions.:clapping::clapping:
6)PL ADVISE.I shall be highly obliged to receive instructions from your valuable insights in these matters.:clapping::clapping:

Hitesh...God willing you will be 100 times of what I am...you guys are lucky that you got Saint who is a king of trading and others in this forum to guide you when you are starting out...I remember when I started out in own trading....I had no one to guide me...I used to get books like Murphy,Pring,Demark etc from my friends who were going abroad and read all technical analysis, and try out everything....you have much shorter learning curve with so good guidence...

And teachers title only Saint deserves...I am only carrying out his tradition in the best way I can...

All the best...

ST
That is very modest of you ST. A true disciple of Saint. Keep becoming more humble and modest the higher you go.

Ok, So we have Parashurama and Dronacharya as our teachers, and yes we are very very lucky to have you both.

Many many thanks.

Re: Saint's Intraday Miniflow - live discussion

Dear all,

Not seen any EOD discussions regarding the 05May2009 Bank NF trade.
I posted the charts by ST and Saint in the library thread and Saint sir is not agreed on our trade. ( http://www.traderji.com/day-trading/25065-library-intraday-mini-flow-9.html#post306384 )

My below question is to ST, can you agree with the trade marked by Saint for Bank NF yesterday? I am feeling confused. I did the same trade like you posted and hope all our friends also did the same.

Thanks.

You are indeed the best pupil Saint has had. You have not only learned trading from him but also the humility.

Saint is indeed a very caring and a humble person. I remember when we were all gearing up for the Kolkatta-meet, we were all very curious as to what Saint might look like, what kind of a person he might be. Our eyes were gleaming with that curiosity.

It was funny. When Aashish da picked me up at the airport... he first introduced Saint and then himself. :) He was the undeclared chief guest. :)

At the Kol-meet, Saint, at first, was shy to come-up in front of the audience and do the presentation. But, Dhakkan and SGM managed to convince him and then we took a sigh of relief. He finished off the presentation in his alloted 20 mins, but there were so many questions and curiosity that he carried on answering all the questions long after that... till lunch time. So much so that he cut his lunch short and answered more questions of the people who were sitting around him in a circle while he was eating :)

We were quite a handful, with our questions and doubts etc. but he was equally caring and attentive to each. Plus, he remembered everybody's name, that I thought was the ultimately rare quality in a person.. so much humility could easily change another person's perspective towards life. :)

People came from as far as Bangalore, Mumbai and Orissa to meet him. In retrospect, one could rightly call it the Saint-meet.

regards,
Amit.

No Hari....frankly I am not clear as to why Saint is saying no to the short trade we did in Bank Nifty on 5th May 2009 as 15 min pivot cracked and 60 min bar was a big bearish candle and was clearly in agreement to short trade....only 30 min had posted a white previous candle (previous to the breakdown....) This trade was not there in NF that day....only Bank Nifty had this situation...

This point i want to discuss with Saint may be when he is free on Weekend as it is a very important point....whether we should have 15/30/60 all TF in agreement instead of atleast 2 we see or something suttle I am missing....It is important that we understand this TFA clearly and remove the gaps in our understanding as it is very important to understand the concept for our future trades....

I am silently pondering over this issue for last 2 days....many a times things become clear in 1-2 days of thinking...but no luck this time....will talk to Saint sir soon.

I too missed Kolkata meet because I had not joined TJ by then...but it must have been great ....seeing some of the greats in trading...interacting with them....and feeling of comfort that they all look just like us ....

1) I got out completely almost where you have shown the 1/3 rd book profit level..... the spinning top.
2) Then I went short at the bar as shown by you....."reverse to short"

I can see only the spinning top with a long upper shadow that is > 2x the body length.
I booked profits when the low of this bar was broken by 5 points.
BAD DECISION????:clapping::clapping:
