The chart and the Market watch show different LOD, which is really strange. So it seems logical to take the lowest of the two. Today there is 3 odd point difference.

Good Morning everybody.Ok I might get banned for this ultra newbie question The thing is as per what I've learnt so far,one goes short on minifty at LOD - mf.i.e.3675.1 - 15 = 3660.1 which has not been reached yet.How then, have most of the people here gone short on minifty?Kindly explain.

Rahul ur observation and question is goood.
since nifty and Mini moves side by side we take nifty's low -MF as our entry point as there is almost 25 points diff of low between them.as per rule mini sell doesnot triggerd till now.(This is my view and as per PIB data).
we assume if nifty starts falling mini will also follow the same route.
thats it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Amit and Flock But how do I know that was a fake tick?Also, if one doesn't discard the first fake tick i.e. 3675 and still enters based on that tick,would that be a wise thing to do?

Dont worry about that, its just an anomaly... first try and understand the ground rules... get started out. Paper trade till you know the first few important rules like the back of your hand... then 3 mini nifty lots...

today i am using 16 for mf in NF so i didn't short.
if PL(10:30 bar) breaks than i will go for short at PL-sf and for
long 10:00 bar(hod)+lf.

I am also using PIB , and better ot use Charts High Low to trade
This problem is due to different source of data for chart and market watch

Rules as in... like in Miniflow we have specific numbers... MF and Sf and AF... we have 30 mins pivots, exit 1/3rd and 1:1... specific numbers yaar...

However, when I did not see any such specifics I added up that this is more of a method for folks with enormous experience.

60 min has gotten taily on the downside...
15 min has shown somewhat of a double bottom... hence is long over 10.45 bar high justified?

60 min not positive yet......30 min doji..15 min double bottom..let us wait for 30 min to print higher PL to consider long on 15 pivot high
