4 bar rule can be invoked at close of this 30 min bar !!
If the present bar turns to be a big bar then it is ok because for the two bar rule to be applicable there should be at least 1 or 2 WRB- big bar/strong close bars in between these 4 bar ( indication of strong trend).

But as of now it is limping move so no 2 bar rule ( even after completion of this bar.. if it is not big bar). My view.

Manoj,

I see your point. However, keeping in mind the current low volatility situation 12.30 bar is strongish. Not exactly strong. So, I am kind of inclined towards using this rule.

PS: If there was a WRB, then we wouldnt need a 4-bar rule anyway.

Completely agree you on this highlighted part.

I mean to say a big bar- strong close bar... but which may not be called as WRB to apply stops at its low. Hope I am bale to convey what I mean.

Manoj,

Looking at it from another angle.

If my SAR get hit as per this 2 bar rule. Then that would mean that the market has reversed 1.30 hours of market action. This is one sided market movement without any inside bars. The bars are not strong, but still it 1.30 hours of market action.

PS: If I were not holding any position, then my perspective might have been a little different :)

Off topic : Do you mean to say reversal at 12.30 of market action as mentioned in tweak thread, If it is so then your logic is absolutely correct.

PS. If you mean to say 1.30 hrs ( 90 min of market action ) then also your logic is correct.

So where do we stand now as far as SAR goes? 12:30 low - SF or 12.00 low - SF?

One observation..
Comparing Nifty & NF... 11 bar is doji on both.. NF showing red candle and Nifty showing green.. but very close.. may be data delays etc.. and this candle has been formed with HH/LH in 10:45-11 period.. so practially both can be considered as green..
